i was brought in to The New York Times November 2012 to provide for the technology behind the digital marketing efforts. NYTMKTG is the name of that venture, as I was inserted into several NY Times groups to generate sales, promote new ventures, beef-up security, and more. Here is the appendix A of my contract, listing my services.
The reason for the success? Making the work FUN. Meeting people in many different departments and teams, to learn their concerns, and how they could come together to fix things, scrap things, and start new things.

I will be aided by my digital notebooks by Evernote. I used Evernote, and had my junior use Evernote, to lay out the challenges per project, our approach to solve, and the sequential steps. My colleague and I became big proponents of check-lists. I’ll be adding a few to-dos as I progress through this project today!
